Greetings from Chicago!
Greetings from Chicago! It's been a long trip and it's almost over (for me at least). Dr. Kim is back at home to accompany Mrs. Kim and her high school friends! It's been a long non-stop trip thus far. Though it's been tiresome, it's been very rewarding. I firmly believe that our Lord hears all the prayers of His children and His answer is here! Though it's been tough, there have been so many blessings in disguise. Jefferson and I definitely believe that this trip has helped us prepare for our future spouses (haha). This trip hasn't been all joyful and dandy; we had our ups and downs. Living with one another, a lot of things came to the surface. However, through this we all battled our flaws together and tightened even more through them. It's not surprising that Satan would try to cause division amongst us. Even though he's tried, he didn't prevail and he won't (In Jesus' Name!)! I remember Dr. Kim telling us that it wouldn't make sense for us going around praying for unity amongst the family, church, and America, if we (JAMA prayer tour team) aren't united together to begin with. God has been speaking to us through one another. The amazing thing about accountability is that, the other person has/can have a clear view of your blind spot. We've definitely grown together as a prayer team and matured in our spiritual walks as well.
We've been treated like royalty everywhere we go! It makes me so thankful every day and every night. I've been given such an amazing opportunity to bless others and serve others. It's mind-boggling. I question sometimes, "God, why me?" (haha) It's a different "why me." God's grace is so amazing. It's only by God's grace that we are sustained and able to do such a thing as go around and pray for this nation. There is life and there is hope because the victory is the Lord’s and he'll forever reign! Personally, God's been teaching me never to lose sight of my need for a Savior. When I think I've done the right amount of good works and I'm content with my spiritual life, I'll lose sight of the need for Jesus. That's when I forget that I'm a sinner deserving of death.
We've been traveling more in the boonies (Mid-West) and it's been very interesting. Coming from Orange County and experiencing North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, it's a whole different world. We were at a restaurant and Dr. Kim was speaking in Korean to some pastors and a lady next to us asked, "Is this their first time in America?" Wow praise God for funny people. Though she was serious, I had a great laugh. We encountered a lot of eyes and awkwardness driving through these states. There are people out there who don't know that Asians speak fluent English. God Bless them :) They are part of the America we're praying for! I believe that God has really broadened our eyes to see and experience unexpected things to really narrow in and focus in our prayers for this country.
We've been eating some really good food by the way. The other night we met up with Deborah Chang (GLDI ‘09) and ate some good Omaha Steak. My steak MELTED in my mouth within seconds! It was probably one of the best steaks I've had in my life! Jefferson and Deborah might of thought I was crazy, but the steak had a texture like thick ice cream. It was dissolving in my mouth and I could literally rip it apart without a knife! We've been eating rather really well by the grace of GOD! God has blessed us with great encounters and many blessings.
We believe in greater blessings and encounters to come! Please continue to pray for us! I'm very challenged and motivated because we serve the God of this universe, the God who holds this world in His hands. What a privilege we have to receive love from such a great Being! :)
A bond-servant of Christ ;),
